Kullu, a popular tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh, is located on the banks of the river Beas. Kullu is known for its Dusshera festival, ancient temples and rafting. Kullu is usually linked to its sister town Manali, which is much higher up and offers picturesque views of the snow-capped mountains. Kullu also houses the Bhuntar airport and a bus hub and is used as a base town to reach Manikaran, Kasol, Malana and Naggar. Kullu also has some important temples like Raghunath Temple and Jagannath Devi Temple. There are many treks that also start from this area including Bijli Mahadev Temple Trek, Parvati Valley Trek etc
