Prashar Lake Trek, Mandi
Prashar Lake is a crystal clear body of water about 50 km north of Mandi with a three-storeyed pagoda-like temple dedicated to Sage Prashar. The lake is situated at an altitude of 2730 m above sea level with deep blue waters and occupies a sacred position there. Bordered by the snow-capped peaks of the Dhauladhar Mountains in the Kullu Valley, the site looks down on the fast-flowing Beas River. The lake has a floating island in it and its actual depth is unclear.
