One of the most famous Sikh pilgrimage sites near Manali. Manikaran Gurudwara is a sacred shrine of the Sikhs on the banks of the river Parvati. The site of Manikaran Gurudwara Sahib is believed to be the exact meditation spot of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Gurudwara is so sacred that pilgrims feel that there is no need to visit other spiritual places in India after visiting this holy place. Manikaran is not only a cherished place for the Sikhs but also holds great significance for the Hindus. There are three hot water springs in the vicinity of the famous Gurudwara, which are essentially used as holy bathing ghats. One of them is located under the Manikaran Gurudwara and the other two next to it.

According to legend, these hot springs gushed forth due to the efforts of Sheshnag when Lord Shiva was in search of the lost jewel of Goddess Parvati. To escape the wrath of Lord Shiva, Sheshnag threw away precious stones from the earth, which led to the eruption of these hot springs. Due to this mythological belief, the Manikaran Gurudwara is one of the major tourist attractions in Manali.
